Everybody Hurts

sfbear79 posted this link to short bios of some Golden Gate suicides. I was sobbing after getting through about two of them. So sad, especially if you can remember having an urge in that direction.

Which prompted me to dig up the old R.E.M. video of "Everybody Hurts." [warning: the video starts with an inappropriate advert]

The stories are touching, aren't they? The R.E.M. video is a good metaphor for how depression and loneliness feel. One of the lines of the song, “Take comfort in your friends,” is almost always good advice.
