Immortal lovers Jack and Steve

[livejournal.com profile] qbear and [livejournal.com profile] rootbeer1 just appeared AGAIN in a story on CNBC about Massachusetts non-married gay DPs losing benefits. Oh, and some companies are refusing to provide benefits governed under federal law (ERISA, for example) to even legally married same-sex partners. Talking heads are going over it.

I'm so blessed to know and live close to celebrities.

But they're SO 2004! Peddling themselves all over the air... their careers are OVER I say, OVER.

It's like they're video comment whores.

That's what everyone thought about Paris Hilton too!

I just watched that same thing! I FINALLY got to see that particular stock footage of Jack & Steve!

15 minutes stretches to 10 1/2 months!

This was the getting-married, with rings and hugs footage?

Re: 15 minutes stretches to 10 1/2 months!

Yup -- about a two-second glimpse amongst 8 or 10 other couples getting hitched.

[identity profile] excessor.livejournal.com 2004-12-21 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I STILL haven't seen the footage.

OMG!

[identity profile] ciddyguy.livejournal.com 2004-12-21 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Someone needs to tape/TIVO it for you. :-)

[identity profile] furfairy.livejournal.com 2004-12-21 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't seen the footage yet either. But working and City of Heroes have conspired to rob me of my now former TV news addiction.

Also: "NO BENEFITS FOR ANYBODY!" If we aren't allowed to take part in social institutions, then the institutions but be destroyed. BOOM! :o)

The mess is primarily because they're subsidized (tax free) and in some cases the only reasonable way to get coverage.

I just saw Jack as Secret Square on Hollywood Squares, so he's definitely jumped the shark.

Hehheh---my goal is to be the new Paul Lynde.

Seriously, we need to get an agent, make the rounds of the talk shows and collect some royalties. Then we'll invite you all down to our fabulous new pad in Bel Air for a bear pool party!!

I don't think I've ever seen that in print. But I can picture you nonetheless:

Peter Marshall: [livejournal.com profile] qbear, why do motorcyclists wear leather?
[livejournal.com profile] qbear: Because taffeta wrinkles too easily.

You'll do just fine.
