Joy to the World
Dec. 10th, 2004 01:02 pmThe window guys are back after a hiatus of two days while they waited for a certain width of trim to be delivered. The handsome one (Paul) made a mistake on day one when he decided to remove a piece of floor trim which, as it turned it, didn't need to be removed, and it cannot be glued back to the slab as well as it was originally. I'm going to have to discipline him....
Let me be the last to congratulate
fuzzygruf and
double_ohsteven on a great Merry-Aoke. Getting up there was a traffic disaster -- it took us 1.5 hours to drive what usually takes 45 minutes, so we were late. And we needn't have bothered to eat dinner before going -- there was more than enough food and sweet goodies. I think that was my first group singing since I was 12, and I forgot how much I enjoyed it. Not that I'm good or anything; I can't read music and I was only approximating the lyrics much of the time. But I have loads of enthusiasm! And it is even more fun when
excessor's around. It was nice getting to meet some LJers I've missed so far, like
sfmini.
This morning I went bowling with Mike; until last week, I hadn't been bowling since (again) I was 12. I have yet to break 100, and it's depressing because I remember doing better than that...
Saturday one of our ECR members is having a tree-trimming party, there's a Silicon Valley Gay Men's Chorus concert Friday and Saturday night, and Monday the kitchen guys will be back with out new granite countertops.
