Just spent ten minutes chasing down the correct lyrics after listening to someone's posted video of Susan Boyle doing "Wild Horses." Almost all the lyrics posted online are wrong (having "after we die" instead of "after love dies"), copied from the same incorrect transcription. The above is correct, checked against a Rolling Stones performance video of the song. Marianne Faithfull, call your agent.

As Paul wrote, it was a busy weekend. It's a shame we missed the square dance Saturday, but we had had too much to drink at the Lambda affair.

I still can't see the name "Marianne Faithfull" without thinking "Mars Bar".

Sadly, she apparently is trying to resurrect her singing career - such as it was. Her voice is now worse than ever. Poor girl.

Now if they had advertised that I could see Curtis and Paul have too much to drink at the Lambda event, maybe I would have told the Danes to stay home and gone to that after all.

Well, “too much to drink” just means more than none. Once cannot square dance under the influence. (Many have tried and it just pisses off the rest of the square.)
