The software update announced today for the iPhone should fix most of the problems that kept it from being a useful substitute for a laptop -- Bluetooth keyboard, cut-and-paste, etc. This points to a larger tablet coming soon. While a Kindle would be nice, I am holding off because an iPhone Tablet/netbook would be more useful still when coupled with Amazon/iTunes publication availability.

I would definitely want a larger screen than an iPhone for comfortable reading, particularly as the eyesight starts to go... I've been watching the BeBook from the Netherlands. I think this is an interesting alternative to the Kindle, with the advantage that it can read books from numerous sources.
