I don't really mean no memes. But it was nice when less than half the posts on my friends list were inane repeats of "you are..." with the same three or four pictures. Unless it's accompanied by some fun and/or insightful stuff written by the poster.
Memes are actually useful when they act to catalyze your own writing. It'd be better if people didn't overuse them, but like "water your lawn every other week" any simple rule is too rigid. I was just being provocative. :)

(Monday's not the best day for it, but the alliteration might help it catch on.)
