Glide House

For you Eichler fans out there (hi Steve and Jack!), Sunset recently installed a Glide House as "home of the year." It's a modular reinterpretation of the Eichler aesthetic with low costs -- $200K for 1600 sq ft. These would look great in Palm Springs....

Yes, these are great. There was an article in the Chron a few weeks ago with links to the website. I downloaded all the floorplans.

I was thinking the same thing about Palm Springs...buy a nice lot and install a Glide House. It coud happen...

Great link! I do love the Eichler myself. The whole mid century period appeals to me, even though I was born at the tail end of the era (1965).

I like the concept, although I'd do some things differently, but then that's me.

I'll download the floor plans when I get home.
