Google launches new blog search tool... that includes all of LJ!

Bad news, kiddies. I, like many of you, have my settings set to exclude search engines, so my postings about weird topics don't end up as answers to queries on Google and the like. Well, Google has launched a blog search tool which doesn't respect the setting. This means all of your security-through-obscurity feelings about LJ are out the window. "Friends only" is now the way to go if you want to remain free of prying eyes. Which means friends who casually read your journal will have to join LJ to see anything.

Intro Nights: El Camino Reelers

The club had its first of three intro nights tonight. There weren't many student prospects and more than enough angels, so we had fun with it; one of my squares had no nondancers at all. Rich did well. Talked to Googler Bennet about the Google blog search rollout. He also reported Scott (of Scott & Cameron) was having his ups and downs. Fortunately, it seems Cameron got his estate plan docs done just in time -- I had felt guilty because I hadn't talked to him about it during Convention. It didn't even occur to me to ask Scott himself when he was over for dinner last week.
