Inflamed Deltoid Tuberosity
Jan. 31st, 2005 01:26 pmMike's subject body part (a tendonlike extension of the lateral deltoid that connects to the lower arm) is sore and he's grumpy because it's stopping his lifting and making it hard to sleep. He hasn't been doing his rotator cuff exercises for months, so I'm pushing him to do them, since such shoulder problems can often be due to neglect of this apparently pointless but important part of a good routine. Rotator cuff exercises are like flossing -- no fun, but it heads off trouble in the long run.
On Saturday Arie left two messages for Mike -- he sounded irritated because Mike hadn't responded to his request for a last-minute massage appointment. When Mike got back to him he had changed his mind. Sheez.
Sunday I was in bad shape -- not much sleep for some reason. Took a nap in the morning but still felt rotten. Slump continued to the gym, and had dinner over on Paul's side of the bay at a pho place. After dinner we watched a Simpsons episode and re-watched The Celluloid Closet. Paul still hasn't seen most of the classic movies (e.g. Bringing Up Baby, Some Like It Hot, and dozens more) so we'll have to educate him.
