IBR plan

This IBR marks the second anniversary of our romantic entanglement, so I looked at coming up for two days, registration, etc., but on pondering the weariness induced by our recent power debacle, we decided to stay home and drop in only on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 19th) to work out at the SoMa Golds (always fun during IBR) and schmooze in the lobby (assuming that's still possible in the new venue.) We've also bought tickets to the 7 PM performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Post Theatre. If we can round up some companions for an early dinner, should be a fun day. I'm hinting here!

At least I can look forward to seeing you on the cruise.

We'll be hanging out in the lobby before dinner if all goes as planned. And the cruise is paid for, so you can count on us being there...

Did I mention before that my husband Joe ([livejournal.com profile] rvrjoe775) is going to be on the cruise also. Sadly I don't have the spare vacation, but he has extra vacation this year due to the strangeness of his company changing owners.

When you wrote about the great cruise deal a month ago, I showed it to him and he decided the price was to good to pass up.

Yay. I didn't realize your husband was here also; is he going by himself or with friends?

Just himself at this point. Last year he took a solo trip to Mardi Gras in New Orleans (well, not completely solo, he met his folks there for a couple of days). Since that's not an option this year, he choose to do this instead.

If I were anywhere in the Bay Area, I'd be at the theatre with you guys. I've heard wonderful things about Bee.

I just hope they don't pick me for audience participation! And while I don't know much about this production, the reviews from New York's were terrific. I think these are previews which is why the tickets were "only" $40, so it may not be polished...

Actually, IBR 2006 marks the second anniversary of our first overnight trip with one another, since I was already smitten with you. And yes, it was romantic—I was so nervous!

I can't wait to see Bee. I hope I won't have to correct anyone's spelling, because you all know I will.

If you're a mind to do it, Foggy City is having a Squares for Bears intro on Saturday morning (more details to come from the Board soon). Entry is free as long as you and Paul come shirtless, um, I mean, bring your ECR badges.

I've heard some of the music from the Putnam County Spelling Bee, sounds interesting. I just might join you guys.

HAHAHA And I remember when you were advising me two years ago that I didn't need to go to IBR!

Well, you live in the city with hot and cold running bears all year round. We're just suburban folk dazzled by the lights of the big city and all those hot menses running around.

But seriously, if one is ambivalent and *expecting* something from a fest, it usually disappoints you, and I remember thinking you were in that state at the time....
