excessor pulled a muscle in his lower back today -- not at the gym, but while bending over to pick up raked leaves. So I did all the cooking and cleaning for dinner for 5 tonight. Later I helped him prep for turkey dinner tomorrow and he baked two pies. Now he's in the strong arms of Vicodin.

We wish all of you a Happy Christmas, or whatever solstice festival you wish to celebrate. I know all of you who take the time to read our scribblings, serious or frivolous, mean a lot to both of us, and we appreciate your attention and involvement.

My back is feeling a little better today. It only hurts when I breathe, talk, laugh, or move. Blinking, however, is fine. When we break out the alcohol, things will get better.

Curtis has been the most wonderful, supportive husband. He checks in on me, but not too often, and he talks to me when I'm lonely. Not only that, but he has had to take the brunt of the entertaining duties, which is harder for him than most people know. I'm so lucky to have him with me.

I don't recall having seen this picture, Sweetie. I like it!
