Maybe someday it will seem quaint, our present notion that one must never criticize a philosophy merely because its guise is religion. I do not think this jihad will be managed until young muslems can be given a philosophical alternative to binladenism. Maybe the bombast of a Fallaci or more likely, a Hirsi Ali (someone I admire deeply) can jolt them out of jihad. If that doesn't work we can perhaps arrange for clandestine distribution of Moroccan and Egyptian dialect translations of The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. (I'm only half-kidding.)
