Spent the afternoon cleaning the pool and sweeping the deck of pine detritus. This has been neglected for weeks as other developments occupied my time; and the algae is starting to grow under the increasing sunshine and warmth. I wore skimpy shorts and got a start on my tan, and even so I was sweating out there. The pool filter's pressure gauge shows it needs cleaning again, a one-hour job which involves a lot of kneeling and spraying with the high-pressure hose nozzle, so I get all wet doing it. I'll reserve that for the end of the week.

A tree service is scheduled to come Friday and remove a lot of the Monterey pine tree that overhangs the pool. They were hired by the owners of the tree (which is rooted next door) but will need to do some work from this side. So I'll be cleaning the deck again after that.

I have a long list of housecleaning chores. I've set them up as tasks in Outlook so I can be reminded of the many things Mike used to do that I now need to handle.

...huh? Wha...? Something about algae... and pool...

Sorry. I was captivated by chesty, absy muscle action in your user pic.

I have a feeling there will an orientation to the house when I move in. :-) Then I'll do half the chores—as long as they involve peeling grapes and putting them into his mouth. Nothings too good for him.

And for the record, I can use Outlook just fine.

Do I detect

Do I detect some lingering sadness over Mike's parting? Removing the tree sounds like good symbolic pruning.

Yeah, that's how that icon usually affects me, too. :)

You guys. That was a totally functional outfit for pool cleaning. :-)

If I want to get people to pay attention to my fascinating posts on the fight aganist algae (red/yellow/black/green etc.) and the joys of water chemistry, I'll have ot use a duller icon.

Just a hint of melancholy. Note the musical selection (which is a lovely version, BTW.)

Postings already of algae, cleaning, warm enough for the skimpiest shorts, a tan and it's barely into March is bad news because if it keeps up, I may be lost cause. :-P

I'm sooo ready for the warm blissful days of spring/summer to arrive.

Au contraire. Actual pixels of nice abs and chest contribute to musing about buff guys working on their pools. It's just that we're a little fuzzy on the details of the pool itself, and a little sharper on the hot guy. It's, like, totally a compliment and stuff. Tell me more about the algae. Was it glistening in the sunlight like your fabulous torso probably was? ;-)

Hmm. I've decided that you can post whatever the hell you want as along as you've got a provocative icon.

Now I'll go back and find out just what you said. Something about a pool, I guess... ;-)

What else would you wear to work on the pool deck--snowboots?

It's kinda nice to get things back in order.

Melancholy is a two way street dear. The many tears we shed together over the past few weeks has brought us closer together despite different addresses. I have a great deal of love for you and that shall not change.
