Top 15 Movies

[livejournal.com profile] excessor made me do it! "Always stick with you" doesn't imply best -- in some cases it just means I've seen it so many times I know it well.

Rules: Don't take too long to think about it. Fifteen movies you've seen that will always stick with you. First fifteen you can recall in no more than fifteen minutes. Tag fifteen friends, including me because I'm interested in seeing what movies my friends choose. (To do this, go to your Notes tab on your profile page, paste rules in a new note, cast your fifteen picks, and tag people in the note -- upper right hand side.) I hope you participate, even if you didn't get tagged.

Lawrence of Arabia

I don't think I've ever seen Blade Runner when I wasn't stoned, and, as a consequence, I have only a general idea of what it's about.

Being stoned or not doesn't make a difference. I've seen it without benefit of chemical enhancement, and I only have a general idea of what it's about, too. Pretty colors, though.

Curtis - It's cool that you list one film - "Zardoz" - that I know only by title ... and another - "The Wicker Man" - I've never heard of at all. Those, in a list of films with which I am very familiar otherwise. Interesting.

"Wicker Man" is a B-grade Hammer picture with Christopher Lee hamming it up spectacularly as lord of Summerisle, a place still secretly practicing pre-Christian pagan rituals. Quite memorable.

"Zardoz" is undeservedly neglected, and connected by reference to "Wizard of Oz." Especially notable for the red outfit worn by Sean Connery...
