I never noticed this until recently, but now it's common -- why do men spit into the urinal before they start to piss?

And what's this new trend toward flushing it when you get there, then peeing on top of the flush?

I dunno, but I do neither.

And a question on that vein, why can't men just sit and pee like women do, even if there is only a toilet available, they stand and pee into it, and often all over it?

that's what my inquiring mind wants to know. :-)

1) Too much work
2) Seat's not clean because other men have splashed piss all over it. :)

My dad did that years ago. I think the syndrome is "peeing shyness" - can't bear to think that others can hear the peeing noise.

Both are strategies for overcoming pee-shyness, to relax the sphincter just enough to get started, then it all works out... Wow it's been a while since I typed "sphincter"...
