We're skipping our gym visit today to head up to the city for John's
gallery event ("Artist's reception for Mark Jenkins"). The gallery is on the north side of Market between Castro and Noe, in the space recently vacated by the Mark Leno campaign. Free wine and an interesting collection of art (the attendees) expected. Tonight (Thursday 19 June, 6-9 PM.)
Mark Jenkin's photos tend to be nature studies, either of plants or of well-muscled men. We have a framed "Water Horn" (shown) next to our shower.

Date: 2008-06-19 11:32 pm (UTC)John's website is pretty cool, though being a language freak I don't know about the mumbo jumbo at the bottom - "Sorry for using English" in translations of various quality into numerous languages, with links to google machine translations of the site. I read the Danish one and it's not good - including a literal translation of the artists first name as if it were the verb "to mark" and a translation of "gallery" as in the open hallway balcony type feature of a building rather than an art gallery.
The things I do for fun ...
