Phoenix Square Dance Convention Gallery
Jul. 6th, 2004 10:39 pmWe returned from Phoenix today around 1 PM on the same flight as
nanocub and
handlebear. Two hours later I was doing my usual workout at the gym, so I haven't fully unpacked yet. Our housesitting guest, Eric, flew in from Sydney just as we left, but he was still here to greet us when we pulled up to the house. It's always nice getting back home after a long trip.
I have many tales to tell about the convention, but the first thing I did was download the pictures off the camera and do a gallery. We spent a lot of time with
excessor and saw
handlebear and
nanocub fairly often, but
fuzzygruf and
double_ohsteven danced a lot and mostly at Advanced and above, so we didn't see them much. This was
tardis' first convention, and he seemed to be enjoying himself.
Pictures of people actually dancing tend to be difficult to take, since the low light conditions and movement limit the camera. Even crisp shots really don't give you any sense of the movement and the patterns forming and reforming in the square. Any of you wondering will just have to come square dance with us or another IAGSDC club. And no, we don't usually dance in leather or naked as occurs at the convention, but it's fun once in awhile.
More entries tomorrow as time allows.
