Finishing touches in my blue bedroom -- had an old print from BC (Expo 86, Robert Davidson, 1985) framed, added a print from Santorini and a BC flag, and voila! -- new decor.
Nope. Ordered one framed from the source, but the Expo '86 print was done by the Russian immigrant-owned framing shop around thee corner -- much better than the chains.
I lived in Vancouver for 5 years and Northwest/Haida style is everywhere up there. The print was commissioned for Expo '86. Robertson is not my personal favorite because of his habit of using jarring colors, but it works in this room.
As I recall, you grew up on Whidbey, which I've been through a few times. One of my ex-bfs from Boston (Ned Goodhue) became a semi-famous character there -- custom-built house, yacht, etc. He left after his live-in bf was arrested for something -- tres scandale.
